Airong Li, MD, DPhil

Drosophilamelanogaster is emerging as one of the most effective tools for analyzing the function of human disease genes and neurodegenerative diseases modeling. As a member of Genetics and Aging Research Unit and Tanzi Lab, the primary focus of my research is applying the genetics of Drosophila to identify and characterize novel Alzheimer's disease (AD) genes, and to elucidate the molecular mechanisms and functional pathways underlying human neurodegeneration.
